not even close bro. the skunk2 manifold is probably one of the best IM's you can get. It performs well for All motor NA setups as well as turbocharged cars. Overall, a great manifold.

ive got a skunk2, not a huge diff in performance since i just have basic boltons. but it does pull harder top end than the stock gsr intake mani, and im sure it weighs less.

Intake manifolds are greatly appreciated on motors with head-work done and good fuel equaling it out. With the amount of air produced, you need to match it with the fuel. the longer the runners are on the IM the greater amount of top end power you will recieve. The shorter they are, the more low-end power you will get. Also, depending on the other mods you have done

i see no use for upgrading intake manifold if you have a stock throttle body. if you're going to upgrade the intake manifold get a bigger throttle body at the least.

you got that backwards kid

shorter runners make power in the high rpm range, while long runners are for low range torque (take a look at the CRV manifold verses a type R manifold)

True. Also the im depends on cars. Like for a d series imo the elderbrock one is better. For and b series i would go with the skunk2. Also the skunk2 im and obx one look alike because they copyed skunk2 so people that dont know the diff. will buy the obx one. But i know the diff. check out the runners and how the obx ones are longer.
Skunk2

Obx Skunk2 knock off

venom knock off

lol thanks for the correction bro. It was late...up till 3am. Your right, short runners make high end power and long is for low end. My mistake. That is also a good upgrade if your doing the IM, bored out the TB as well. It can never hurt. good luck with whatever you choose

when im just running on motor i notice alittle more throttle response and some top end. when i spray i notice more of a diif then before on the top end.

^ like romoracing said, it also depends on the motor you are using it with.

I don't either, however you will probably need a fpr to add a little more fuel afterwards, I that I put a big tb and IM, and my idle went to ****, but then I put a fpr reg. on and it kinda smoothed it out. Just waiting to put on the turbo and tune her now.

They are 2 completly different designs. THe SKunk2 is geared more towards NA while the OBX is better for FI. The OBX manifold is a POS anyways a friend bought one and he could not even mount 1/2 of his sensors on it. It's crap crap crap. If your trying to save money just get a BLOX intake manifold. That is the closest thing to Skunk2 you can get. I've heard it may even flow better (haven't seen proof though)
