eg being the more often visit one and kills to have more traffic reading my post ..
and i have decided to post here in the competition forum to see people that races on the track think about my choices ...

i will auto-x regularly ... as long as i got the spare money and time i will go ... and i look for the most performace out of the box ..... TIA for the help and analysis ...

here my choices ...

should i buy:
a 92-95 and build it up ... have yet to find a decent one for sale around here ..
a 01 intergra GSR selling at local BMW dealer for 25 to 26k CAD
a 98 intergra GSR selling at local Acura dealer for 20k CAD
a 03 Nissan Sentra spec V for 22k CAD
a 03 subaru impreza TS wagon for 22k CAD
a 03 Toyota matrix XRS for 25k CAD (dont reli like this choice myself)

it is going to be my first car, my parents are paying for the downpayment and i will pay the rest. the fact that my parents hate the idea of me driving a modify car have really hurt my original decision ( buy a older civic and put in a B16A2 ) . this is really confusing, since i dont want to regret it down the road ..

Of those listed, I'd pick the GSR. Plenty of aftermarket support. Quite a few active autocrossers.

But, I'd opt for an older car. Like a 4th or 5th gen Civic Si. Both are fun cars. Since it's older, you get to tinker a bit (with rebuilding/replacing worn parts, exhaust, shocks, etc). And since it's older and slower, it's a better choice for young drivers who often damage their cars.

Other than that, drive whatever you can. And be happy your folks are making the down payment. Any car is better than no car.
