Default i need to know if i got ripped off!!!

ok...i was looking for a del sol and i found one on ebay, its a 93, standard, and its got 216900 miles on it...i paid $3888 american for it. im from canada and everything is in kilometers here...so i was thinking 216900 kilometers at first..so i was like well thats a lot but oh well, i like this car a lot so i'll just get it...i havent got the car yet so i dont know forsure but..the rest of the car appears to be really mint...no rust or anything, it really looks super mint..
the salesmen told me the motor runs really good and doesnt smoke and its really quiet, its only owner was a female and i guess she must have taken car of it...anyways!..did i get ripped off or what? because im starting to have second thoughts about it..and i was also wondering, would any other civic engine fit in it, like an 04 civic engine or something??

Ripped off for what? the mileage on it? Or the price for it?

Personally I would never buy a car with over 100,000kms on it, but thats just me

If the car is still in mint condition like you say with no rust and engine is still good then no need to complain

Yea but he got a Del Sol.

Just swap that ****** out if it ever blows. Honda engines always last a long time though.

^^ Hell yeah, all my hondas had always been reliable engine wise.

The body would probably rust and fall apart before the engine does.

Well if it was an Si or a Vtec trimline then I'd say you didn't get had that badly. If it was just the S then yeah, you got scammed, but not by a whole lot. Its really all subjective. Oh, and as for your motor question there are tons of options. Most folks will reccomend some type of B series motor.

A little too much for me with a stock motor in it. Just my $.02
Not much of a Del Sol fan anyway.

from a dealership or private party? single cam motors are cheap and easy to swap so dont worry about the miles.

I like del sol. If you are worried about mileage just swap a b18 into it. Where in canada are you?

In my completely non-proffesional opinion I don't think you got ripped. Especially if you like the car. A rust free 12 year old car is about like hen's teeth here in NS so importing one kinda makes sense.

BTW I might be the only person on here that knows where Yarmouth is and/or has been there before I'm up the valley about 4 hours in Wolfville

I have a 2dr 96 civic EX for $2,795, but it came with no front bumper nor rear bumper. It has 113,000 miles on it and it came as a mini-me.
