I rode my first wheelie last night...
And let me tell you it felt right so I just went for it. I was up about 3-3 1/2 feet up and rode it for about 20 to 30 yards. It started to get a little squirely at the end so I set it down.
I remember the first time I tried a wheelie on my dirt bike... I just revved it up and dumped the clutch. LoL.. bad move, the bike flipped over on top of me! Haha
I'm much better now, but that's on a dirt bike, I can only imagine it's much harder on a street bike because of the weight.

Actually it's not that hard at all, the bike will pick it self up just start at low rpm's and slipping the clutch so that you won't loop it, if it doesn't come up then just give it a little more throttle, wash, rinse, and repeat

Hahahaha... I've been able to get it up and go about a few feet but just haven't been able to do it for that long, the time felt right so I went for it and it paid off.

Jazzies pull better wheelies?
J/K, I got your point when I first saw the pics. At first I though it was the same guy .

They both have their pros and cons. 1st has limitations on how fast you are going (which is a plus) the downside to 1st gear, is the throttle is a lot more twitchy, and there is way more engine breaking (which can put you in a world of hurt if you don't know how to use it) 2nd gear is good because the power is a lot smoother, but then again you are going that much faster in 2nd, and will hurt more if you eat it.
