Alright, I need to color-match my OEM hood. I have a Milano Red 97 civic EX coupe (R-81-5), and I have a Roma Red hood (got it for $20 when I got in an accident 4 years ago).

The contrast between the two colors is driving me nuts.
So it's time to paint it.
I have two options. I can get the hood I have painted for about $100-150. Only problem is, I have a dent in my hood, and I hope the guy can pull it.
My other option is to buy this "mint" OEM Milano Red hood off of another 97 civic EX, with only 36k miles

This hood is available for $150, and has no dents or bends (that I can see). It is also about 100 miles away, and I have to go pick it up in my civic.
Looking at that hood though, it does have a lot of water spots, but the color looks like it will match my OEM paint perfectly.
Should I:
A.) Paint my current Roma Red hood the Milano Red color, and hope that the dent can be pulled out without Bondo for cheap.
B.) Buy this Milano Red hood for $150, and hope that the paint isn't too faded/water-spotted, at least nothing a wax/buff couldn't fix.
Thoughts?

Hell yeah, I had to have the body shop re-spray my old CTR lip THREE times before they got it right.
And my rear bumper is a 95% match, only my overly-**** *** can see it.

True. Plus I can sell this Roma Red hood to someone, I'm sure there's a guy with a 96-98 civic that needs one.

in the underground parking ramp where I live, it's like looking at a red apple and an unripe tomato

97% of people do NOT notice it, but it's gonna make me crazy if I keep looking at it!

Does this show it?

Buy that oem mint hood off that crashed car.
I can see the hood on your car currently has wierd fitment issues anyways, you should replace it.
(the gap above the grille is huge).
100miles is NOT that far man, don't be a wuss,
just go get it!!
it's fun to see new places anyways
