will warantee cover the synchros?
this is what's up, i have an 05 dc5-s and i have about 2200 miles on it. second gear feels notchy sometimes. it's been doing this for 2 weeks off and on. will warantee cover 2nd gear?
i know how to drive a stick. no grinds no nothing.

so i must grind a gear then eh? haha
also when im quickly accellerating it seems like 2nd gear has to work to get in. all the other gears slot in just fine.

</TD></TR></TABLE>85% of the 05 Type-S has this problem including myself. I went to the dealer 5, count em FIVE times, and they still didn't replace my syncros. I got 3 tranny flushes and the problem went away for the most part. Going to the dealer ain't gonna do ****, and rsx transmissions are pretty smooth for the most part, just that 2nd gear pisses people off.
Wait til you hit about 6-7k miles, your 3rd gear will start popping out sometimes too.
I suggest a short shifter, after I installed mine it made a world of a difference, and I've heard this from many other 05 owners.

same crap happened to me...i sent in my car...told them my 2nd and 3rd gear felt weird...that notchy stuff...I leave my car at the dealer....couple hours past...they call me and say they couldn't duplicate the problem and to come back when the problem is more frequent. Sucks. I feel your pain though...good luck on getting it fixed.
First of all there's not going to be a recall....there wasn't one for 02-04, and there'snot going to be one of 05 with less of a 2nd gear problem.
Tech will inspect it for free. I suggest you keep going back and keep hounding them til they give you a free tranny flush.
Also, I have a revo 5spd short shifter.....yes it fits Hype-S 6speeds and sits lower than the 6speed short shifter and the throw is shorter. I highly suggest metal bushings and not using the stock urethane ones because you will get some rattling when you shift from 3rd to 4th and 5th to 6th.
With our notchy transmissions, sometimes it goes away, others learn to deal with it......other trade the car in. I'm in the middle, and sometimes the tranny is fine. I love this car to death even with the fucked up tranny, although I have to admit it does ruin the car.

So its not just me with this problem! Going from second to third always feels notchy unless I do a very slow shift. It feels like it goes into gear half way and I have to put it in an extra inch or so, fuc*ing pissses me off.
So who ever has had a tranny flush has been somewhat better? If so I will be going to the dealer!
