Code 17 (17flashes) (Vehicle speed sensor)

this is the code i am getting and would like to know what it looks like if anyone had pics?

 

It is the cable and mechanical sensor that plugs into the top of the transmission and the other end plugs into the back of the cluster.

 

This can effect the motor running? (make it not starts?)

 

It shouldn't affect it running. I ran mine unplugged when I first finished my swap and the car ran fine but no speedo or VTEC.

Not at all. It should only affect your speedo and whether you car goes into vtec or not.

 

Cool thanks. I can't seem to find one and it is still working, but my ecu has a code17. No ck light eather.

I never heard of the speedo cable snapping but most likely it came out from the tranny end.
