as the topic states. i know there is a lip on the Si but is there any difference?

 

If you are referring to the rear, then the fitment is the same.

first off,what generation cars are you talking about?
92-95 Civics:
the 2-door EX and Si front bumpers are the same(and for that matter,all trim level 2-door and hatchback front bumpers are the same),other than some models having the chin spoiler.
rear bumpers are different from hatch to 2-door.

99-00 Si and 99-00 EX(2 or 4 door)front bumpers are all the same,other than some models that have a chin spoiler and/or foglights.
the rear Si and EX coupe bumpers ar the same.4-door MAY be the same too,but can't say for sure.
