Default H22A Head Gaskets

Hey guys.. looking to get a headgasket either cometic or prospeed custom one..

now what I need to know.. is the thinner the HG size the better... (stock=0.030")
coz the cometic only offers 0.027" for the H22A..
whereas the prospeed custom ones.. start from 0.010"?

What am I better of with?

Current setup(un-installed)

Skunk2 Stage 1 Camshafts
Skunk2 Adjustable Cam Gears
Skunk2 Valve Springs + Titanium Retainers
Modified Throttle Body + Intake Manifold
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
Iceman Cold Air Induction
Cat-bak Exhaust
Tuned and chipped P28 ECU(later stages)

Thoughts and opinions would be much appreciated

The higher the compression for cams the better. With the .010 you won't have any clearance issues. Do the H23 tensioner conversion though. Get some ARP head studs while you're at it. Saves from having to keep buying Honda ones when you take the head off again (which you probably will to make more power).

Where can I find more info on this H23 tensioner conversion or purchase a kit for the conversion?

ARP are studs that you can re-use. OEM are bolts that you shouldn't re-use.

Was told to use Cometic 0.030"(standard size) HG for modded H22A... is there any benefits from using this particular one..

Also, cant get in touch via email with prospeed about there custom made HGs for H22A (0.010")..

i'd use OEM head gasket.... it works better than most head gaskets. If you want higher compression get some type s pistons. That's if you have OEM sleeves. if you have after market sleeves get some forged pistons.

Or mill the head .020-.030 instead of worrying about getting a thinner gasket.
