Could this be a starting point on figuring out where you went wrong? Obviously I can only suggest BC I dont know who you are, your experience, your car condition, or what steps were taken...but a homemade job on this project isnt advisable

Give me a call at Rywire. Checkout Rywire.com, phone # is on the page. I can probably diagnose this in 5 minutes over the phone but there are alot of questions i need acurate answers to first. Too many to ask here.

Search "check for spark" and you should find a how-to.
Or you can remove a spark plug, plugged in still, and see if it's firing.

when i did mine.. i found out that the ignitor coil from my dizzy wasnt working... you can use a timing light gun to see if you have and spark/ignition coming out from the dizzy...

There is a ground wire on the engine that's hidden a bit. I forgot to hook that up on a conversion and it did the same thing.

ok well try and tightening the intake mani onto the block better and make sure u check every bolt. another thing you can do is just take carb cleaner and spray a section of vacume line and see if the idle changes, if it does that means u have a leak there and either change the line or find a way to get rid of the leak. also u can use fuel injector cleaner that may help.

probably your TPS wiring... did you swap the pins?
If you drive it and try to floor it, does it basically kill the engine. If so, thats for sure your TPS wires being backwards. Swap the 2 outside wires on that 3 pin plug.

yeah there is another way to take it off without replacing the throttlebody, and that is to drill out the rivets that are holding it in, and tap the holes and screw the new one in.
