CAR FOR SALE: 2000 TAFETTA WHITE SWAPPED EK CIVIC HATCHBACK
Updated 7/18/2005 More Pics and Extended Discription
Up for sale is my 2000 Tafetta White Civic hatchback. I'm going to miss her but I feel I can't satisfy her anymore. I've lost my touch. =P
The car has never been in any accidents and has a squeaky CLEAN TITLE.
Engine
The motor is a very strong JDM SI-R II B16A topped with a ITR red valve cover. It was bought from Steve at HMOTORSONLINE with less than 40k less than one year ago. It has ITR cams and adjustable cam gears ready to get tuned. Bolt ons include an AEM Cold Air Intake with K&N filter and ram air from cut out vent on front bumper, DC USDM carb legal 4-1 header, 2.5" testpipe, and stainless Greddy cat-back piping. Currently, it is running on a Civic SI P2T OBD2b ECU. I will include the OBD2b-OBD1 conversion harness.
The transmission is a JDM Civic Type R S4C tranny equipped with LSD. I replaced the stock CTR clutch/flywheel with a Clutchmasters Stage 2 clutch/flywheel. This is the best feeling tranmission, in my opinion, from all B series trannies. It also has the shortest gear ratios along with the JDM ITR. It has terrific low end for daily driving from light to light and it will continue pulling when cruising the freeway in 5th.
Suspension
The shock absorbers are 5-way adjustable Tokico Illuminas with adjustable coilovers and custom springrates that fit my driving style (450f/350r). I chose to have the softer spring in the rear for daily driving comfortability. To make up for that, I installed a 22mm ITR rear swaybar using the Beaks Subframe Reinforcement Kit and OEM SI Endlinks. There are also various other 'bars' installed such as the GSR (red) front strut bar, polished rear strut bar, gunmetal C-pillar bar, and a one-of-a-kind custom made pivot-less gold DSPEK lower tie bar. The front upper control arms were replaced by an Ingalls camber kit. The wheels are 15x7 wide white Kosei K1's wrapped in Kuhmo Ecstas. Their offset is +38 which gives the car a nice wide stance. Finally, the hardest suspension modification was the replacement of all stock suspension bushings with Energy Suspension (red) bushings.
Exterior
My goal for the exterior was to keep it simple and clean as possible. The front bumper is equipped with an OEM 99-00 Civic SI lip and CTR grill. The fenders have JDM Stanley amber sidemarkers. I replaced the stock Dumbo ear mirrors with JDM Folding Mirrors. The lip, grill, moldings, sideskirts, mirrors, and spoiler, and rear license plate bezel was then painted to match the car. Can't forget about the JDM Window Visors.
The car is washed once a week and waxed once a month religously. I use Mothers claybar along with Meguiars NXT wax. So fresh and so clean. The paint is smooth to the touch like a baby's bottom.
Interior
The interior is in mint condition. My goal with the interior as well as the whole car was to keep it as simple as possible. The seats I chose are Del Sol seats with a gray stripe. They hug a lot better, sit lower, and doesnt attract too much attention from potential thieves. The cluster installed is an amber lit 00 Civic SI cluster that perfectly matches the 00 Civic Si head unit. I also got floormats and a rear hatch cargo cover brand new from Honda. The shifter is equipped with a genuine Spoon Sports shift **** and a red anodized Short Shifter.
Security
The car is equipped with a professionally wired Viper alarm. Various kill switches (ignition, fuel, etc.) around the vehicle adds extra comfort. A bright LED warns potential thieves that the car is armed as well as lets you know if your alarm was set off. Other details will be given to the buyer.
It's done... at least, in my eyes and wallet. I am looking to get SOLD for the car BUT... the price is negotiable. So feel free to throw your offers/lowballs. Keep in mind that the car is only 5 years old when making offers. Anyone that knows me knows how meticulous and **** I am when it comes to my cars.
