Default Anyone used a nitrous setup on their bike?

I've been toying with the idea of getting a small nitrous setup for my soon to be bought bike. I see them for sale at some shops, but never talked to anyone who used one. I'm assuming its pretty much the same as your average juiced car but i'm just looking for feedback.

Theres a guy down here who run on it. I've never seen him, but the cops are always trying to catch him on I190 Tollroad here in N. Tx. I think its a 600cc and they have clocked him over 200mph. May be BS, but my neighbor says he knows him. Anyway, its a good way to trash your motor quick IMO.

before you flame me, you should know that its not going on a 10 second bike. Far from it, it would be for an ex500. Thats the whole thing, i grew up on 600+ bikes but i just dont have the cash right now for a bigger bike. I'm just looking for some way to sqeeze a little more fun out of it this summer.

there is a guy on sportbikes.net who slapped a N2O bottle in the back of his gixxer 1000. Just like in a car, it can be used without damage to a bike IF used in moderation.

Just remember though, most 600 cc bikes (except twins) will rev over 12k rmps.

So it would probably be easier to trash a bike motor than a car motor.

I would say save yer money and get a 750/900/1000 cc bike.

Ahhhh, dont listen to them!!! Nitrous is absolutely the best 'bang for your buck'. I dont know why everyone doesnt use it. Just a simple solenoid arrangement and feed to your airbox. Standard kits make 50-60 HP for Blades, Busa's etc. Generally most modern bike engines can take 50-70 HP increaes with no issue at all. The most you need to do is fit a dyna ignition and stronger clutch. Stock rods, no matter what anyone tells you CAN take 120 HP hikes, you will need to run forged pistons and have a sequential boost pattern so the bigger shots dont come in too hard. My Blade used to run nitrous and in top gear the difference is hilarious. Regular, reliable 150+ HP what other mod can you do for the same money. Go get some and have a go. Also dont forget you can rip the system off when you buy a new bike and transfer it...try that with a set of cams!

i hope you are an experienced rider if you plan on putting N2O on your bike. i understand the need for more power, i have a bottle for my h22 accord, but i have been riding my 98 gsxr 750 for about 3 months now. i think that the surge in power could make the bike a little squirrely, so you would probably want to know your bike pretty well, and know how to recover if something happened. and also, make sure you are wearing leathers and full gear. dont want to wreck without those

As usual, start in top gear and give it a squirt! then go down the gears until you get used to it..common sense

get one of the small cheater kits made for bikes.. mount the tiny *** bottle under the seat..

squeeze only at a decent speed and I hope you have good wheelie control skills.

pay no attention to these guys... nitrous on a bike or turbo on a bike = ***** of steel....

I have done 155mph on my bike just wish i had the extra umph to get her to 200...

that 's my only goal with the motorcycle right now.. is to hit 200....
