I have a 97 civic ex with a 00 B16a2 swap. I'm running a gsr ecu and have been running it for about 2 some yrs. I just found out that it's not the right ecu to be using and was told I'm losing power. I'm looking to find out what ecu to use and about how much power I'm losing .

get a odb2-odb1 conversion harness and run a jdm p28 or p30

 

Ok but how much power loss do you think I lost

 

A gsr ecu activates vtec at 4800 rpms which is too early of an engagement for a almost stock b16 motor. This would cause you to engage vtec & loose power until around 5300 rpms.

That's funny because I don't fell it kick in untill about 5700 rpm
