wrong fourm but anyways use glass bead it is not as abrasive as sand and it will not pit your rims just make sure you keep the psi down on the commpressor and slowwly bring it up till u have the right psi not to pit the rim. i work in a paint shop in an automotive store and glass is what everyone is going too

i am not sandblasting the rims... someone is dropping it of for me at the shope where they sandblast ( clean ) trailers.

The question is will it be damaged after sandblasting? or just scratched up?? I want to repaint it ( cheap way, autozone spray paint ) but it had already 3 layers of paint on it.

So blast it? or just put it in a bath with paint stripper???

i blast with it it is not as harsh and abrasive as sand .....................and make sure u clear them after if u r doing them with spray paint or they will be hard to clean and the paint will not last on them and if u can bake them somehow like the oven if ur mom does not mind a rim in her oven
