Default d2 coilovers for ef

anybody hear anything on these? They look affordable, and also look and sound like a very good coil over. I was curious. Might be picking up some of these guys after the summer is over.

here are the specs

The RS coilover system is a 36 way dampner and rebound adjustable monotube full coilover system. The setup has seperate height and preload adjustments allowing for optimal adjustment and allowing full strut travel at all times along with pillowball upper mounts or top mounts*. Mounts are constructed of 6061 powder coated aluminum. Threads are teflon coated to prevent rust. Best Full Coilovers on the market for the driver / racer with a small budget. Rebuildable and serviceable in the US. 1 YEAR MANUFACTURE WARRANTY.

780 bucks with free shipping from jhpusa.com

car is going to be seeing the road course quite a bit, so i dunno...just wanted some opinions. They seem like a great value. Plus they are purple. What else do you want?

i did a search, and didnt really come up with anything good. It was all like hey look at my blinged out **** yo! Not really what i was lookin for. I'd like to get some reviews from people who have actually used them on the track. Koni/gc combo would be good, but if i were to do that, i would just keep my h and r springs, and get some koni's. I really would like a full bodied coilover and what not. Just would be nice i guess. Thanks for your suggestions and comments tho. K sports kind of reminded me of the d2's as far as quality is concerned. But i don't know. any other comments?

i guess the most helpful thing i found when i searched was you get what you pay for........ Yikes well i guess the search continues. It will be hard to spend 1500+ on suspension, but if it helps your car plant on the ground, then it has to be worth it.

Ksports are pretty much the same exact thing but slightly less expensive. I've driven a CRX with them and it felt really good even without any other suspension upgrades.

Check out the sponsor in my sig

I see D2 is finally gaining popularity in the US. I've been looking at them for the last yr or so.. They are a realitively young company based in Taiwan with branches throughout southeast asia. They do have some racing experiences with teams in the Macau grand prix and other tarmac racing events. Ksport is the Japanese branch of D2, they are the exact same dampeners painted orange. As far as personal experience with them, I never tried them but I'm considering it.. 36way adjustable is IMO way too excessive (hell even tein's 16way is excessive IMO). The design is Monotube (nitrogen filled i believe) so they should handle a good amount of abuse, independant height and preload adjustment which is more than I can say about Tein Basic and SS. Spring sets are pretty cheap, and suppositely they are serviceable in the US (hope they have a quick turn around like Koni, probably wont). They are more popular amongst the nissan crowd so they should have more informative user reviews, I told you just about all that I know about them..

Also I keep hearing people say they are better than JIC, which really isnt saying much at all.

I heard that JIC coilovers sucked though. Like their construction cant stand auto-x type driving. Stuff like the whole part that connects to the wheel hub snapping off or what not.
