Default H22 dyno: 200whp/159tq

Max power: 200@~7400rpm

Max torque: 159@~6000rpm

Mods: TWM 52mm ITB/motorcycle sock filters/AEM EMS fully tuned by myself
The rest of the engine mods are Jun cams/Mugen header/T1R exhaust & UR pulleys.
Head and bottem end is USDM stock w/ 10.1 compression
Im also running AEM big brakes and 18" wheels, so numbers could be higher w/ stock
brakes and smaller wheels setup.

My plan was to break 200whp w/ bolt-ons, so Im pretty satisfy for now.
This dyno will be the baseline before the SMSP header goes in, stay tuned.

When is the SMSP header going on? Where did you buy your ITB's?

you prolly could have hit that power with just IHE using qaulity parts like AEM CAI, SMSP header, and 2.5 inch catback exhuast + air fuel tuning, without the ITBS. still impressive though!!!!!

Thanks, I cant wait to put on my SMSP header.
Im pretty happy with the figures so far, as a stock H22 puts out only 140whp on our dynamometer.

I dont mean to sound any way, but isnt that kind of weak for those mods?

I have a JDM H22A in my EK. I have J's Racing Intake, JG Throttle Body, Euro R Manifold, Headers, and Exhaust, and I dynoed 190 hp and 155 tq at 7400 rpm's, and my engine is completely stock. And that was with no tuning. That was just one pull on the dyno.

There are too many variables and conditions that could affect dyno readings, its not accurate to compare the peak numbers from different dynos.
What we can compare is the relative gains, for example:

A stock H22 makes 140whp on our dynamometer, the gains from my mods would be about 60whp.
If a stock JDM motor puts out 160whp on dynojet to begin with, and the mods add up to 200whp. The gains would be 40whp.
Looks like both motors put out the same peak power on paper, but the difference is actually 20whp.

For reference only, here's the dyno thread from our local club using the same dynamometer, you can clearly see how low the readings of our dyno as most guys dyno'ed around 140ish~:

I bet with some lighter/smaller wheels you would see more. Is this your first time on this dyno therefore you don't have any previous numbers to compare?

Yeah, its not only about peak. Because you are most likely making more mid range hp than I am. Not sure though. But thanks for writing back with a good reply rather than just blowing up and thinking that i was trying to blast on your dyno or anything.

Thats real nice man!! You mentioned you were using "sock" filters --individual sock filters that wrap around each velocity stack, tend to hurt airflow. If you're interested you could look into Pipercross panel filters which cover your ram stacks without touching them, they are available in different depths--you can check Truchoice Motorsports--they carry Pipercross filters.

Thanks for suggestion.
Infact Ive bought ITG panel filters but it didnt fit within, the clearance between firewall and the velocity stack is too tight for any panel filters.
The motorcycle filters were intended to fit on ITBs that biker use, so they are actually quite free-flowing with very limited restrictions.

do you have pics of your filters? i'd like to see.

i'd also like some info on how you did your fuel lines and fuel filter set up.

also, what is your firewall to velocity stack clearance?

thats pretty good numbers for what the motor has. you should get the head port & polished. we made good numbers with a stock block and the head ported with 52mm itbs on a hondata s100. cant go wrong with an h!

Thanks for the suggestion What kind of numbers did you guys hit with ported head on stock block?

this was last years motor for an all motor street class car. it put down 247whp. this year im running an h23/vtec on a ported out stock manifold and it made 246whp. im running skunk2 stage 2 cams in both motors, tuned on a hondata s100 on c14+ gas. i think the displacement of the current motor made up for not using itb's.
