Default Tempted to put H&R coilover springs on my generic sleeves, is this okay?

Before you flame me, here's the situation:

I picked up some full-bodied H&R coilovers for my GS-R from a local guy a couple months back to replace the generic coilover sleeves I was riding on previously. Little did I know, the rears were seized and the perches were all messed up ($100 replacement). So now I've got good fronts, which are installed on my car, and my bootleg crap in the rear. Until I can scrape up enough money to get a legit suspension, I'm thinking about putting the rear H&R coilover springs on the bootleg sleeves to run with the stock struts. Would this even be worth trying? Its obviously not the best alternative, but I imagine that it would increase stiffness in the rear by a decent amount, it just wouldn't have the damping that the H&R's would've provided. Additionally, the H&R springs have "dead coils" and progressive spring rates, where the fakes are short enough to become unloaded if the rear gets high enough.

By the way, the coilovers (the complete set; fronts and rears) are for sale if anyone wants to have a crack at the rears. The fronts are just fine. It's a nice suspension, they're just more trouble ($$$) than I can afford to deal with right now.
