Please help me JDM ITR front end Install ?? Im stuck
Whats up guys, i have searced and posted threads, im running into trouble, installing my jdm front end, (non Hid I know im poor j/k). here is my problem, i have the front end torn down to the rad support and inner fender frame part, you know under the fender.
I was wondering if someone could please post pics of their rad supports after they are complete, i was thinking of doing the T bar swap, or should I just swap the whole support, im confused on what to do, i know on the T bar swap you over lap the usdm and the jdm support, im just looking for a picture to give me a better idea, maybe if someone has pictures from when they installed the jdm front, if any of you guys have a step by step process for doing this it would help. .
Last buy not least, is there a wiring diagram for wiring the headlights so that the foglights will work do i need anything >?
all your help is apperciated and i will post pics as well.
Thanks
Bernie
Hey as the for the radiator support you are suppose to cut out the usdm with a plasma cutter or a cutter and weld in the jdm support. You have to be really careful with this or your front end will not be aligned properly.
This might help if you havent seen a How-To yet - http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/jdm/jdm.php

It's really a question of whether you want to drill out all of the spot welds. If you have good metal-cutting drill bits I'd just replace the whole rad support from US -> JDM AFTER you mark the US rad support location for reference.
Then make SURE you test fit things like 10 times before you start welding the new JDM rad support in place. Try tacking it in a couple places and testing the fitment thoroughly (including with headlights and fenders installed).
The factory spot welds are easy to drill out. However, if the front-end has already been replaced and MIG welded in place you are going to cry if you try to drill out ALL of those welds.
Also -- consider using the US rebar for extra safety. It's not hard to do at all.
I hope that helps a bit.

penpen and I did it. Wasn't hard at all. Just required a couple small modifications to the JDM bumper. She should have all of the links handy if you want to PM her.
