i have a 88 crx dx and when i bought the car i dident pay much attention about how the motor was runing so rough i just knew it ran and thats all it runs good but i heard some other crx's down town and it sounds like mine runs way different i was told it ws the fuel injectors and it kinda sounds like a rod but everyone says thats not it but no ones real sure its got power like always but its just ****** loud like i heard the other crx's and same motors and all you can hear its like the fan smooth running and mine is fukin LOUD it kinda sounds like if you put a wire into a fan that clicking sound is this my fuel injectors and how can i fix this??????

 

For a start, w/ most forums, Periods (.) are nice. Besides that, try to keep from random thoughts. You need to describe the problem. You say it has a miss, and is loud. 'Someone says it's a rod...'. Then..Ok perhaps its a rod bearing, wrist pin failure or who-know's-what. If you have a misfire and an audible rod knock, then I would say yes, they may be onto something. But the noises that a novice or rookie hear.... are completely differant than a trained professional or well-qualified technician.

I guess i shouldent have posted that. Because i guess you wouldent know unless you heard it.It just really pisses me off,i just thought somone would have had the same problem. Anyways i wonder if i put some fuel injector cleaner in the tank if that would help. **** i dunno...... If it is a rod i have lost no power and i have had the car like this for a year. So maybe that will help you figure what it is.

 

So are you just hearing detonation??? What octane fuel you run???? Yes, Honda injectors do fail. At the Honda/Acura dealer I was replacing 1-8 sets a day for awhile there. But honestly all the injectors needed was to be cleaned. So yeah, try a good injector cleaner and go from there.
I have heard a lot of differant noises that sound the same as the description listed. But, you are right, that it is tough to diagnose if we can not here it in real life.

I tried some fuel injector cleaner and it seemed to act the same.I think i need new fuel injectors.I dont plan on keeping this engine i want a b16 but im saving the money right now and i want my car to run smooth for a few more months. Where could i buy some new injectors from for a good price,or should i try more injector cleaner?

 

honestly, if your saving for a swap, that could be your answer. With swap injectors and other fuel ignition components are replaced.
PM for those injectors.. got them sitting in the bottom of my tool box.
