KSPORT vs TEIN SPRING RATE - Check it out!!!
Ok, I own a 2004 Accord sedan and I'm debating between KSPORT and TEIN
Tein SS and Basic coilovers come with 9kgf/mm (front) and 6kgf/mm (rear) for the accord sedan
On the other hand, the KSPORT coilovers come with 13kg (front) and and 9kg (rear)!!!
Hear are the links to the websites:
Tein: http://www.tein.com/ti/a50.html
KSPORT: http://www.ksportusa.com/produ....html
So I have 3 questions:
1. Are Tein and KSPORT using two different methods of measurement? The reason I ask is because Tein labels their spring rate with kgf/mm, while KSPORT labels their spring rates with only kg, nothing else.
2. Are the KSPORT spring rates too high for a 3100 lb car? (13kg!!)?
3. Since Tein only offers a maximum of + or - 2kgf/mm of adjustment to the , does this imply that there's no way that I would be able to achieve the level of stiffness (overall feel) that the KSPORTs have?
If someone could answer those questions in that order it would be a HUGE help! Thanks!

uhm... Tein Flex maybe? that has a higher rating... that's why I went with those, SS is too weak for my taste...
1. methods are the same
2. I have Tein Flex on my EK Hatch and it's not too much at all... when I first installed them I actually found them soft... not sure what my car weighs in lbs though (metric system rules y0)
3. true, with the SS you won't be able to get to the same springrate, at least not without loosing warranty and normal shock-lifetime. So that's why I said to check out the Flex.
In the end it all depends on how you want your car to drive... stiffer might make it handle better, but comfort might be an issue...
