isn't the red and black the ground?

The power antenna should be a thick black hookup...not a wire
I don't know for sure - i don't have a civic...but i thought it was always that way.

Unles you have a power or amped ant. you do not need the "power ant." wire 94

The power ant. wire is for controlling a power ant., it sends a 12V+ to the power ant. when you turn on the unit, the ant. goes up, when you turn off the HU there is no 12V+ on that line and the ant. goes down. the ant. sig. lead, [thick black] is for radio signal all ant. have them, the most common end is the Motorola end there are others mini Motorola, [gm] euro, [VW, Audi, BMW] and a few more. 94

Did you try the 3 diff. ways I suggested? BTW there is a 4th way, don't hook up the red or the red/black 94
