i have a 94 civic ex, and i need to kno whether or not its R134 or R12. there is no sticker on the hood, so i have no clue. i searched up and down h-t but couldnt find an answer that was 100% clear.

Well, if you have the 94 civic then it should be R134. You can also look at the fitting to tell as well. If it has thread on the outside of the fitting then it's r-12. If it's the push in kind then it's r134. I'm pretty sure if you have a 94 it's R134.

Yes. Honda began the use of 134a I believe in 93. Could have been as early as 92.
