Default 99 V6...trying to replace altenator belt

I replaced my altenator and I'm trying to replace the belt, but I can't pull the tensioner pulley up enough to slip the belt on. I'm using a 14 mm wrench and it's just not working because the space is so tight. I also tried using a pipe over the wrench but I don't have enough room to push it back as far as it needs to go......PLEASE HELP!!!!

Try interlocking a 13mm wrench into the open end of the 14mm wrench, that way you'll have the leverage to push the tensioner.
