How many lights are impacted buy this sensor? My 1995 Accords speedometer does not
operate properly when engine heats up it jumps from 0 to 40 mph, also the d4 light blinks and check engine light comes on. If I stop and restart everything works for a few minutes then same thing is sensor bad or ECM? plz help as school starts and money gets eaten up.

 

its probably a bad connection in the instrument cluster...5th gens have that problem, if it was a bad vss a cel light would be displayed...
replace your instrument cluster...

 

The VSS will trigger a MIL or check engine light and the D4 light will also blink. Did you try replacing the entire VSS, it has two sections. Also so make sure that the pins at the ECU is to loose.

 

where is the vss on a 1995 accord?

 

replace the electrical part of the speed sensor .. u dont need to replace the bottom part............also on the driver shock tower there is a plug with an orange wire in it i cannot recall how many wires in connector ,, but make sure that orange wirs is ok and not damaged and connection at plug is good .........

a bad vss will throw engine + tranny code

and RV to answer ur question it is located below t-stat housing it has 3 wires going to it i believe it is a gray connector and 1 of the wires is orange 1 black the other i cannot recall ,, unplug connector, remove the 2 10mm bolts and voila''' piece of cake
