Default Just bought Porflow Ti Retainers...Now which valve springs to run with them?

Just bought a brand new set of Portflow Ti Retainers for $95 shipped (Thanks KillaB-) and now I am in need of some valve springs. Do I have to run Portflows valve springs with their retainers or can I run Skunk2's? I am looking to build a n/a c5 head with Buddy Club SpecIII cams, springs and retainers...Give me some advice here! Thanks guys!

*Edit* Sorry about the title...Porflow lol

I would probably try to stay away from skunk 2 valvesprings if I were you. Do a search here on HT and you'll see why. I am using a full Portflow valvetrain in my LSV motor and when I did my reseach I found no complaints from any Portflow users. Tom@Portflow

are you going with a dual valve spring? i suggest:

- portflow
- supertech
- importbuilders.com
- crower

they are all great for valvetrain parts.

All of those will work with the portflow retainers?

i searched on skunk2 valve springs and only found 3 topics.
why would you stay away from them?
i just want to know cause i just recently bought some.
are they crap?? i use portflows on my other car but on my civic im using the
skunk2's cause my homie sold me them real cheap cause his car was stolen
and he never got a chance to install them.

I have run toda valve springs with portflow Ti retainers for 25k miles without issue.

I would recommend portflow so you can correctlymatch the valve springs with the retainers at the ideal install height.

SuperTech dual valve springs match perfectly with Tom's PortFlow retainers. We use this combination all the time.
