Default Any word on legacy amps?

A friend of mine who is rather trustable on the subject of car audio reccomened a 2channel 1000w Legacy 500rms Blue Diamond LA780

Since no one else i have talked to has ever heard of Legacy, I was hoping someone could comment on the quality of this amp

I know its somewhat low end, but thats what i get for being a college kid and choosing education over my civic

Legacy is junk just like Pyle, Dual, and the rest of them.

If you are wanting a cheap amp buy something reliable. Get a HiFonics amp or something. Just as cheap but better made.

It's on the low end, but it will do just fine for daily bass needs. I have a 1000w Pyramid amp I got for $30, which suits me just nicely.

I appreciate the input

Im not planning on putting the amp in for the long haul, just to have some low end whilel i continue to upgrade the rest of the my car so durability isnt really an issue

It will work fine, 2x75watts RMS into 4ohms 1x150watts RMS into 4ohms for under $100 and using it for sub bass, as long as the sub you are going to use is a 150watt continuous sub you should be fine.

There is not enough power in the amp to run 2x 300watt rms subs, unless you are very careful with the gain for sub bass, it would be very easy to over drive that amp into clipping and that will just burn up the VC in the subs 94

I have a 1200wt legacy amp thats been pounding hard for 3 years. Its not bad stuff if you take care of it. My alpine amps have had more problems than this legacy. Go with it man, its all good your just not paying for better companies to smack their stickers on it

i had a lecagy 1000 watt 4 channel and stuck a nail in place of the fuse and parallel bridged 4 subs on it, and it worked decently for a few months, but for the price you can get good MA Audio amp.
