Default 98 Civic Coupe with JDM ITR swap

I have been hanging out in the ITR forum for a little while now. I would have loved to be able to afford an ITR like the rest of you, but had to settle for putting a swap into my Civic (funny, cuz now I have spent more money on the civic than an ITR would have cost). I definately have a little understand now why you guys love your cars so much.

Anyways, that car is now for sale/trade in the classifidies. Please check it out, and I would love your feedback if you want to give it. You are all pic junkies, so enjoy. Please bump it if you like it. Thanks!!

Just curious, in that thread you said your engine's compression is 250 for all 4 cylinders. Shouldn't it be around 210 or so?

Would different equipment give different results?

Very good question, and thank you for checking out my car.

Yes, different equipment will yield different results. Results are also affected by engine operating temp. I have seen people test their engines cold while others do it after running for just a few minutes while others do it at normal operating temp. The most important thing is that the numbers are with 5% or less of each other.

Also keep in mind that you might be recalling numbers from a USDM ITR, which has lower compression than a JDM ITR.

I also performed a cylinder leakage test on the motor. Lots of people prefer this to compression tests because if there is leakage, this test will tell you if the leakage is past the rings, through the intake valves, through the exhaust values, or by the head gasket. I had 0% lakage in #1, 0% in #2, 3% in #3, and 0% in #4. Just to put things in perspective, Honda allows up to 20% leakage for their brand new engines to be considered within spec.

Thanks again.

I concur... I fail to see the point of this thread.

But good luck in selling the car.

Well, it has just as much of a point as all the "check out the pics of my car I just took" threads that I see in here.

I really did not expect an ITR owner to say, "ooo. me, pick me, I want to buy your car". I was more interested in ya'lls feedback on my car. I noticed a long time ago that the ITR owners have a lot of passion about how much they like their cars, which is entirely what made me decide to swap in the B18cR. All I wanted was your feedback on my car.
