hence why it's important to know who is running the event. i'll only go with well organized, safe clubs who follow and enforce rules and proper track conduct. depending, may not be a good venue for a first time . your best bet is to do a school.

Seems like this is a BattleEndless club event. I've been to a couple of their events last year, they weren't exactly the best "enforcement" at the time. However, I have heard things are different this year after "the incident", not that marshalling had anything to do with it nor could they have done anything that time.

They may have run groups this year, I know some events last year did not have the need for them.

I may be up for this one actually... perhaps I'll have the right tires this time too All depends when my goodies get here.

eh... for 90 bucks, i would rather put that towards a full lapping day (which can run about that) organized by a proper club... not battle endless or n1 or whoever, they're effin' crazy.

if you're new to this, i'd strongly recommend you skip this... if anything, go out to watch.

there's battle endless which is 9 AM to 5 PM = $$140 ( advance payment),$$ 160 ( at track)

then 5:30PM to 9:00PM which is privatly orgenized that must be around $90
depending on how many people show up.

Regardless of the negative talks about these events, I will be showing up....

Road racing is dangerous in the first place, So I m willing to go out there and
be optimistic, and have FUN ,...

Here is some pics of the july 10th ( last event)

Cheers

True, however you do everything you can in advance to mitigate these potential dangers. I didn't see a single person wearing a helmet in those pictures which would worry me in terms of how seriously anyone organizing or attending this event takes safety.

Go to a properly organized event and you'll see the differences immediately. Generally speaking CASC clubs organize events that are insured, typically run using a standardized set of regulations and have an ambulance at the ready with marshalls/fire extinguishers scattered around the track.

It's your choice but if you're new to this, do yourself a favour and attend a properly run lapping day. You'll experience a lot more enjoyment and probably learn a lot more too. Trust me, every one of those cars in the pics has a bad line coming onto the Nelson straight

Whoa!

If you're not wearing a helmet at one of these events you're asking to get hurt badly. There is NO way that I'd attend an event where folks aren't required to wear helmets.

Was this one of the groups where cars were running into each other on track? If so then
