Autobacs and Super Autobacs are all over now. I know of three SA's in Yokoma and a new one in Kawasaki. The one in Odaiba really sucks now; ot shies in comparison to the ones in Yokohama.

But don't expect see anything for the DC2 anymore...DC2 parts are all online and mail order.

I dunno why everyone wants to go visit Spoon

Anyhow, from Shinjuku Station (on the west side of Tokyo), take the JR Chuo line to the Ogikubo station (i think the 6th stop). Then follow these directions:

It's been like 5yrs since I went, so I don't remember the exact directions. You could ask R you serious as he knows the area better than me.

SA-Tokyo Bay/Shinonome is also popular with tourists, but unlike Spoon, they don't like people taking photographs.

http://www.sa-tokyobay.com/info/map.html

I'll have to dig up the directions to get there as it has been almost 5 yrs since I went there too

This is SO true. None of the big shops used to stock much for DC2/EK to begin with, and that was a few years back. You have to order everything.

Good plan...throw Shibuya in there too (that's if you're into looking at hot young girls)

Oh..and a tip....you can get a special pass from the front that allows you to take pictures at SA....its just an agreement that says that you don't work for a competing shop.

When you're in Shinjuku, go to Takashimaya-Times Square (big department store south of the JR station) and check out the pastry shops down in the basement; stuff is expensive - but oh so exquisite

As far as airsoft guns, I'm not sure what the Customs regs are, but the BEST place is Killer Studio in Shibuya:

http://www.killerstudio.com/ai....html

Their address is listed under "Products" then "How To Order/Shop Info"

Akihabara - keep in mind some of the appliances are made for the JDM market (voltage is 100V); and it pays to shop around.

Roppongi - lotsa "Gaijin friendly" JDM gurls...can get expensive...which is why i never go

Ginza - LOL, I <U>stayed</U> in Ginza the first time I went to Tokyo. Big mistake

yeah, that's the garaiya; designed, manufactured, and developed by autobacs. i doubt it would pass the u.s. side impact regulations.

Everything in Ginza is EXPENSIVE. If you're rich, there are a couple of really, really swanky department stores (and some nice boutiques) in the area.

PSP comes with universal voltage AC adapter, and the PSP game discs are interchangeable (JDM/USDM); you cannot play USDM UMD movies from what I hear...so my advice is to buy PSP games (like Bleach) in Japan, and get your PSP when you come home

EDIT: Bleach for PSP (my son's)

There are 2 Post Office branches at Narita Airport Terminal 2, but I am not sure what their size restrictions are. <u>You might want to stop there when you first arrive and ask them.</u>

One branch is on the Departure Level 3 (on the far right) and another is on Level 2. The departure level location is open later.

I brought one back in my luggage without an issue...but this of course was before 9/11. I definately wouldn't try it now. If you have to have one, you could probably ship it back to yourself without too much of an issue.
