Worn Vtec Lobes on ITR cams
What would cause only the Vtec lobes 2 out of 4 on the exhaust cam to flatspot on the tip? Sticking LMA's? It is only on the Vtec lobes not the others, so I was thinking it would not be the valves be adjusted to tight..
I got the cams from a friend who got them from somebody esle so as far as we know they have not been ran like this in a while.
After taking a second look it is the intake cam that is flat-spotted not the exhaust...

I just got off the phone with him (the oringnal owner of the cams) and he said he had dropped a valve in his GSR head with these cams....
The intake cam looks good so I should proably just keep my GSR exhaust cam in there..(b16a head with CTR valvetrain dual springs on both sides)..Will just changing the intake cam be worth it..They are the older USDM ITR cams..not the ones like the CTR

There is not enough lift in that cam.
A flat cam will definitely drop valves, however.
