That's just as bad as having no filter there at all. Duc tape the filter onto the opening of the intake pipe.

I wouldnt drive like that unless I really had to. When my cousin's intake got jacked at a house party, he had to drive it home with no filter or pipe at all. But of course he had to. But I'm not sure, maybe u can for a day

That filter will not do anything.

If possible, get a sturdy box that can fit over the end of the tube and the lower part of the airbox. Use duct tape to seal the box. You can cut a hole in the side of the cardboard/shoebox for the tube.

A sock or shirt may just get sucked down the tube and cause the engine to stop due to air deprivation.

Why not just put the factory airbox back together, then after you get the filter and before you leave work, just slide it off and put the intake on.

Man you people are whimps, I've driven like that for a couple weeks before. Hell, I did it last week for almost 3 days, this included freeway driving, and my engine is still going strong.

It would take A LOT of crazy **** to make something big/bad enough to get to the intake tube, let alone actually IN the damn thing. You'll be fine for a day, don't sweat it.

^^^no doubt. A friend of mine had no filter for a week. Just stay off dirt/gravel roads and you'll be fine for a day.
