Default little info re: trailing arms 92 on a 98 civic coupe

Just finished up replacing the passenger side trailing arm (rear knee pick n pull calls it) and found out some really interesting info (pain in the a$$). Long story short, I took a trailing arm assymboly off a 92-95 civic 4 door and put it on a 98 civic 2 door ex. The older trailing arm is identicle, BUT the rear brakes are smaller (drum brakes) than the 98's.

What I ended up doing was replace the brakes with the 98 brake drum and change the spindle and hub because the 92-95 spindle was a different bolt pattern than the 98 drum brakes. Made a 15min job take a lot longer than 15min.

Hope that helps someone here.

Now I know... thought it was just a generation issue. I still didn't know the spindles were different.

So did you have the pleasure of trying to get that locktite crap off the bolts? I remember the first brake conversion I did....didn't know about the locktite. I actually broke it loose by hand. Ouch!!!!

All bolts came off smoothly, didn't know they had any loctite on them. I'm glad they did because I was pretty pissed already buying the torque bits to take off the spindle.
