my buddy swapped a 1988 zc into his 88 crx si and we have spark and fuel and timing is right but i think that you need a 89 si ecu and he says that the 88 should be ok? please help

 

what is the problem? If it is not starting...check all your grounds, make sure that you check for spark and fuel.

does it turn over? does it just click? have you checked the dizzy, ignitor, coils or any of the pic ups in the dizzy itself?

make sure to check the thermostat ground. that it the main ground for the ecu as well

 

definitly check the thermostat ground. also turn key to run position but dont start. you should see the check engine light come on. when you see it go off it should clik which is the main relay.

if it doesnt click its a ground problem. then you can just take a wire from the thermosta ground disconnected from the housing and run it to the battery and see if that solves your problem.

if so just find a new place to put the ground.

 

Who did the distributer wiring..are you 100% that it is correct?
