Default poormans type r vs ls v-tec

what motor do you guys think will produce more horsepower on an all motor setup ls v-tec or a poormans type r ?

I would go Type R head with LS block, but it all depends on how you build your motor as far as boring, sleeving, porting, compression ratio, etc. Many factors involved.

Get the best of both worlds and use a GSR block with an LS crank. That is what I am putting together. LSvtec without the mess of the lsvtec kit. GSR is a stronger block and comes with a block girdle.

gsr with ls crank is a good idea.....actually just finished mine....i used a gsr block, ls crank/rods/ctr pistons, and a type r head...
