I have a 92 Lx accord. When the car is in park once in a while when the key is turned on the Check engine light comes on and then the Park light blinks off and the D4 light blinks. The Car won't start because The fuel pump wont come on. Its definetly somekind of transmission sensor or park sensor but I dont know what. Any help?

 

i had the same problem on my 2000 accord 4 cyl, but at least my car started. hmmmmmm, are you sure your pump is shut off because your tranny sensor is going nuts?
well, anyways, the P and D blinking was solved when i replaced shift solenoid C on my transmission, if that helps any....not sure if our trannsmission set up the same way, but the symptoms sound very much alike

 

In the 90 to 93 accords when the key is turned on all the lights on the dash come on and the fuel pump pressurizes the system. But once and a while when I turn the key on you can hear that the fuel pump doesnt come on and the "D4" light flashes, and the car will not start. It seems like it is the park sensor. Because I know the car will not start if the car is in any gear but neutral or park. So That seems suspicious to me. Ill check to see if that silinoid comes on or not. Thanks.
