My boy did a swap into his, it cost around $2500. That's in California. I take it, it might be cheaper else where.

If it is going to cost you 2500 dollars and you have access to a garage you should do it yourself, I knew nothing when i did my first swap and I used this site (and this was back in 2000) there is 10 times more info on here now. But for all that money you could easily pay for more upgrades or even better a kick *** tool set. I have now done three h22 to civic swaps and it is not that hard. I got all my info off of here. Its up too you, though youll thank yourself if you do do it casue you will know much more about your car and how to service it.
If you are interested I have plenty of quick links on how to for that swap.

I wish someone would pay me that much to do it. I would feel like a complete jackass if I charged someone that.

At my shop I charge about $600.00 to swap out the old motor and drop in the H22. Thats for labor only, I'm not sure if that is a bad price...that inludes the shifter.

Mostly in part because he had to make it smog legal. Getting JDM parts changed over and getting aftermarket parts that are smog legal can be costly. The swap was free, we put the motor in
H22A with the cat on the header

That is a very general question . Do you have any parts for the swap? I can hook you up with someone down in the South Bay Area that I know does good work. Just PM me....

when i did mine, it was $1700. that included the axles, the mounts, and labor. took the car and motor there separately, picked it up all swapped.
But the next swap I do will be on my own.

My H swap was my first too. I had a friend who had done many sohc swaps in an EF (turbo kit + 15 psi + bad tuning = boom 4 times in one summer). With the info from H-T, it was easier than I thought. It took about 8 1/2 hours with all hand tools (and cherry picker) and 2 people. Just make sure you have the right parts before you start, and I bet you could do it yourself. Plus its nice to know your way around the engine bay when something goes wrong down the road.

Hahaha, they are so easy when the motor is out of the car.
When the motor is in the car and you do it at home... it sucks
