Default Im lost about what to get???

Hey guys im new at engines and stuff but i want to get a good engine thats somewhat fast and easy to drop in. i was thinking of a b16 but i was also considering a b18. I dont know which to get and what would be easier to do.
anyone pleese help!!!!!

if you wanna pick it up....just some food for thought.


1st off what car are these options going into-and they are both moderately easy to put in. 90% of the all motor guys will tell you to go with the 1.8l, but 200 whp is attainable in a b16 as well, but torque is nice, so i say 1.8.

if it was me i would go with the b18 simply because bigger displacement and more potential

What kinda car, OBD1 or OBD2? Give us more info on the car itself. I vote for 1.8 GSR cause I prefer torque

depends on where u live, and who u kno........... most itr motor's are expensive whyle u can get a gsr motor for a decent price or a b16...... if this is gonna be a daily drive and u drive quite a bit of miles then go with the b16 save ur self some money on gas, the swap will be less expensive as well with the b16 and u can get some bolts on and drive it around.


if ur gonna build it up u can go with the larger engines( b18,h22,) but dont think the b16 is a joke either i seen people with b16 pushing 200whp that some people with b18 cant even do. but whatever u decide to do just make sure u do it right the first time dont cut corners and do a shitty job u will thank urself later down the line when **** is ****** up and ur motor is falling apart g'luck
