On the hwy at about 70-80mph 5th gear at about 3,300 rpm. step on the gas a bit, to pass some one (still in same gear), and I hear the tapping sound. Let go the gas to cruise @ 70mph, and the sound stop.

In lower gear, I can't tell because of my exhaust. But I don't think so. So it's higher RPM where it's perhaps closer to 4K in 5th gear where I hear the sound.
As for pinning? Yes. It does sound like marbles in a can. I run on 87. But on that trip, I had fuel injection cleaners in the tank. Did that make a difference?

To stress on more what Luser was saying..
When I'm idleing at a stoplight, I can hear a *tick tick tick* noise, and also when I'm normally driving. A valve adjustment would help lessen this, but the noise will still be there. My brother got one on his DA9 a month or so ago, the ticking is still there, it's not as loud though.
