Hey I have a D16z6 w/ a d16y8 intake manifold in my crx. Do I have to modify a d16y8 AEM cold air intake manifold to fit my car or is there another model I have to purchase in order for it to fit? I need the AEM intake for the CARB number so it can pass.

it will fit on, but the problem it has is that the battery is in the way. relocate your battery?

 

measure the the intake manifold and get that size diameter

 

get an intake for a ef its still d-series so it will fit or reloacate your battery to the trunk

 

i got a crx si intake off ebay for my 89 crx hf with d16z6, the y8 one ont work unless battery is relocated to the rear.
