This link leads to a page of descriptions along with links to the pictures. That way you'll know what you're getting into before you look at it.

This is why it's all the gear, all the time.

Thanks for the link. I have occasionally had the "itwonthappentome-itis" but this will definitely make me think otherwise now.

Same here, sorta. I tend to think that being careful on the street and staying away from cars is a pretty good way to stay safe, but sometimes I cave in to the mentality of "I'm going to go down and I just won't be able to do anything to stop it."

It makes you think also that he said these weren't his worst paitents. And also these were the ones that survived.

Thankfully whenever I go out with just a t-shirt and jeans I feel naked so I don't do it anymore.

I love wearing gear!

Yuck! Wearing 5 pounds of cow-skin in the summertime isn't my idea of fun. I know it's got to be done, but it's just such a pain to suit up.

Damn this thread for scaring me into wearing my ****.

And you criticize me about the dangers of not carrying insurance, and you're not wearing gear? Gear is more important than insurance, without gear your chances of fatal injuries are significantly increased .. and if you die, where is the need for insurance?

Never criticized you about the dangers...just called you out for saying you could afford a 600RR but not basic insurance, which is totally bogus no matter which way you slice it. I don't think I kicked you while you were down (I said some pretty nice things actually), but I did insist that you not misrepresent yourself.

You can do whatever you wish. But I'm certainly not interested in being on the hook for another guy's car. If I die, my parents have to buy him a new truck.

And btw I never said I didn't wear my gear, I just said I hated it.

But no, I don't wear it that often.

i've been down like 3 times or something, had the suit, boots, gloves, helemt, back protector...walked away each time. my buddy went down, had everything i did too but the impact on his elbow to the ground split it open to the bone

i prefer to wear my suit during summer over my astar jacket because it's preforated
