i just finish helped a friend swap a jdm b16a 1st gen on a 89 crx si. Everything bolts in and looks clean. The problems are: won't fast idle when warm-up, stays around 800-1,000 rpm at warm-up and exhaust smell gas like. Does this happen to every b16a swap or something is definitely wrong? any help is appreicate man.

 

I believe that the fast idle thermal valve makes the engine rev higher when warming up. So it's doing the right thing. Maybe I just dont understand your question.
