i was driving the other day int he 93 civic and suddenly the air just went out. fans ok but the cold just went away. at the same time i noticed the cold turning warm i heard a hissing sound which what i later came to assume was the freon escaping the system. the compressor is brand new less than 1 month - replaced it just before the move from NYC to tampa. now i got no air and it's hot as *****. help would be appreciated.

 

Have you tried passing by an A/C shop to find out what's wrong? Just a suggestion...
