David,

I think you want to go Sunday instead for the lapping day - Saturday is their school and I don't think it's the same (correct me if you know or learn otherwise).

I won't be there as a participant - maybe I'll come out and look around. It's not bravery that I lack, it's a finished car. I'll be working on it on Saturday trying to get it reassembled enough to get it from my cagebuilders. Still so much work to do before March 9th to get it both track and tech worthy.

Not driving Audi day is made more bearable by the probability that it won't rain (I really want to drive in the rain alot this year - weather permitting). Steve C from Seattle/Denver was maybe going to show up. Maybe I'll see you both.

Scott, who really doesn't like going to the track too much without a car.....it hurts AND it's boring.....except for watching David drift......

Wet race weekends are a pain in the paddock... in the car, they're great! I love racing in the rain.

I think there's a couple NSX guys that will be there. I won't be going, though. I had thought about it, but I don't want to put myself in a position of needing to replace pads or rotors, and I don't wanna go in the rain.

I'm gonna save my racing budget for the dry part of the year, and after I get out from under VISA bills.

My previous racing experience in the rain involved mud - so in a sense it was like racing a car in the rain will be: visibility problems. As to the drive/ride itself: I enjoy the rain in the car more than I did on a motorcycle.

Scott - you love racing in the rain huh? What about being in the middle of the pack nearing the end of a fast straight. I'm a little concerned about visibility. When I've been playing with somebody one on one it's generally no problem to stay out of their spray, but egads - so much can happen so fast and your first clue will be being bumped. Am I a whimp to think about this?

Scott, who LOVES driving in the rain....and want's to have good experiences racing in the rain....my only chance for honestly won checkered flags will be in the rain.....

Mike,

So, I see Eddie is running the OTC. Is he one of the NSX's that's going to show up at PIR?

I've never found it to be that big of a problem. A big group of closed wheel IT cars put up much less spray than say a group of Formula Fords.

For the most part, I've been fortunate enough to start near the front in most of my rain races. In the ProIT at Atlanta last September I started further back (23rd?) but it still wasn't too bad. There was a lot of spray going into T10 but you could still see shapes and brake lights.

Well alrighty then! I'm gonna quit worrying bout it.

Scott, who still worries a little about being in the middle of the pack in the first turn and feeling a bump(s)....I've honestly thought of starting at the back and working my way up.....I've had some really painful get-off's in the past....

I think Eddie Nakano will be there on Sunday. I don't know if Eddie Lee will be there (Eddie Lee doesn't have an NSX anymore). Both Eddies are running Miatas in OTC.
