Brembo Blanks with OEM Replacement pads????
Are Brembo Blanks with OEM Replacement pads a good combo for a ek. Or should i get a different pad like hawk? Has anyone tried this combo?
Try H-T sponsor ImportRP or http://www.importrp.com.
If you're only looking to replace worn out pads for daily driving then OEM will be fine. They also are low on brake dust.

cool, I wanted cross drilled/slotted rotors but I searched on here and most people say brembo blanks are probably best for a couple reasons. so ill probably get that and oem pads.
Brembo blanks with AEM brake pads. hands down the best. trust me, you'll think you have 11" rotors with 4 piston calipers. haha
I'm having good luck with blanks and Nissin pads

autozone rotors are just as good as brembo blanks and they're cheap. it makes no sense to spend money on a wear item.

....typo...meant to say and Nissin pads. I'd bet AEM are made by Nissin !
Yup !
Found this:
AEM High Performance Brake Pads are specifically engineered for high-performance braking. These pads are manufactured in conjunction with O.E. Japanese brake manufacturer Nissin, and utilize a unique ceramic-Kevlar fiber compound to provide a higher coefficient of friction that resists fading and reduces stopping distances.

Yes, I agree. Spend the money on a good pad instead of the rotor. I use the cheapest rotor I can find at the local autoparts store (rotors are heavy to ship) plus I like PBR/Axxis Ultimate pads. Adjust your rear drums, if you have them, and you'll have excellent brakes for very little money. Also, flush system w/ a decent brake fluid... Valvoline syn power... cheap and effective.
