rear lower control arms help
hey i need some advice on either to install my rear lower control arms and shocks myself or have the shop do it...because ive heard that i could break a bolt and i would be screweed....i was wondering on what do you guys think....ive called some shops already and said that labor is 180
its the ppl from the midwest and east coast that have corrosion issues with siezed bolts. you should be fine. just use 1/2" sockets and a breaker bar handy. 14mm. $180 for labor? no way...
Shiiit ill do it for $150
Just playing...just bust it yourself, its easy as ****. And about breaking bolts, when i was installing the rear shocks on my old sol, both the bolts on boths sides fused together and broke off when i hit them w/ the air gun. After the fact, i later found out on my carfax that my sol came over from a state where in snowed on the eastcoast...people salt the roads in these areas and that causes bolts to weld together.
