Default Karting at BeaveRun

I heard there in arrive and drive thing for go karts at BeaveRun. Anyone know where I can get more info? I looked at http://www.beaverun.com and found a link to http://www.padskarting.com but they only seem to hold 2 events this year at BeaveRun.

The last time I was there, they were having a standard race weekend, and they advertised arrive and drives (in an EasyKart/TAG kart). I inquired about it, and it was a "if we have time" a the end of the day kind of thing. I told them there would be ton of people at the HPDE would would love to do it, but that didnt seem to really motivate them. There werent any arrive and drives that day much to my dissapointment.

One of these days I want to head out there and throw down some money on testing one of those. When our autocross club rents out the indoor track in Columbus in the winter, I'm absolutely untouchable, so it'd be cool to try something quicker.

Cool... I'll definately have to try that.

I've been trying to find a karting place around here but it seems the only thing they offer is a dirt oval.

i have done this before at Beaverun, its a BLAST!! My brother only lives about 45 minutes from the motorsports complex so we try to make it out there each time i visit.

The karts are pretty quick (about 60mph) and the track is awesome (different configurations can be made up including some with elevation change).

I recommend calling first, just to make sure the karts are running that day. The way we do it is to get 4 or 5 (or more) people together and just rent out the whole track on a fri. or sat. afternoon. But you can also go solo, but i would still recommend calling first or even a couple days in advance to see what the schedule is. The reason is that the karting track is also used for other events like small motorbikes...etc.

But it is a lot of fun (they provide you with everything: helmet (or BYO), karting jacket, neck brace, gloves....pretty much everything you need). It's not real cheap, but it is fun (not crazy expensive either, but definately worth it IMO).

definately recommend it to anyone, just make sure you call first
