i just finished puting together my motor on the stand. the motor is a B20B and i went to honda and bought the dip stick for that motor. when i went to put in the dip stick it didnt look right to me. can anyone tell if they seen this before and how i can fix it. Here are some pics. Thanks

 

Only thing I can think of is, when the b20b is sitting in a crv, the hood and radaitor support are high ( stay with me ) so instead of having to dive in the engine bay to get the dipstick, Honda made it longer.

Might want to pick up a dipstick for a b16 or b18

 

i have a B18B and it the same.

 

my B20Z came with a standard style dipstick.
it does make sense to have the longer dipstick in the CRV,but i've never seen a B20 that had the long one like yours.
it appears they ordered the wrong part.i just looked it up in the parts fiche,and the B20,B16 and B18s use the same dipstick-part #15650-P30-000

Maybe its from a Honda pilot
