Default ecu question

i was just wondering if i could use a p72 from a '95 gsr to run my Z6 and if i could what problems if any would i run into? are there any other ecu's that will run my motor with little to no problems? what about a p27? thanks a lot guys

i would recommend you use a p28. you are converting to obd-1 right? or is it already converted?

i should get my harness from rywire either thursday or friday... does anyone have a p28 for around $100 shipped? i need one by this weekend... let me know... thanks

Rywire does have Stock P28's guaranteed working.
Give me a call tomorrow, they aren't $100 but i'll give you our wholesale price which is close. (josh?)

I wouldn't go with a chipped ECU for a stock z6 unless you're going to replace the chip with one programmed for your engine.
Most people have "Skunk 2 chipped P28's" to accomidate DOHC engines. So running that program on a SOHC wouldn't be correct
(i didn't read that for sale thread other than "skunk2" so if it's a z6 program, thats cool i guess. Still best to know its exact settings)

hey man hows it going... yeah this is josh... haha ive already been told to stay away from chipped ecu's so im not really looking at those... there are a few times where my mind tells me to take the chance but i need the car to run good asap so thats not an option... ill go ahead and give you guys a call tomorrow... btw have you recieved my package yet? thanks a lot for all of the help... you guys are my heros haha... later
