lower left control arm
im sorry if this has been asked before...i did a search all over the internet and did not find anything. well i just bought a 1989 integra ls for 300 dollars from a friend. he was driving and the control arm broke. now i took off the wheel and looked at it and noticed that the control arm is fine and at the end of it is a cup with a rubber thing. and then where it connects to behind the brake caliper there is a big metal ball. im guessing the ball used to be inside the cup on the end of the control arm and it popped out. so what i want to know is could i get that ball back in and keep driving the car or should i just go find a new control arm and install it. another question is how hard would it be to install a new arm...is it just nuts and bolts...i have knowledge on cars and i have friends who know alot but any help would be appreciated......thank you.
Welcome to Honda-Tech.
It sounds like you split the ball joint. Check out this diagram:

Unfortunately, it looks like the lower arm and the balljoint are one piece.
