This would get better responses in the audio forum.

But Ive seen the JL audio box and own two 10" subs currently there in the trunk in a bandbass which is hurting there performance. They should be in a box like the stealth one or something else. From my experiance those things are nice as hell (Subs) my 10" hit very nice + there what 8" top behind your seat? I dont think its a downgrade at all more of an upgrade. Also they have lower wattage then most speakers but they sound louder. Just a good product IMO, I have the matching amp to go with them as well. I also recomend getting a lower wattage amp then the speakers sp you never have to worry about blowing them out with a surge or an adjustment being off.

I looked into getting it for my delsol but it is like $700-$800 for the JL stealth box. it has 2 JL 8" W1 which is equal to 1 JL 12" sub. I said screw that and did a custom setup with a kicker 200-2 amp bridged and 1 JL w1 10" sub in the trunk and alpine type s door speakers and rear speakers.

well going from 15" to 8" is a huge downgrade. However, you can always replace those JL 8" with some higher end 8" woofers and get some really good bass.

JL subs are better hitting then most for there size, and remember the stealth box helps them along with that. I agrea the box is wayyyyyyyyy overpriced, not to mention near impossible to find now from JL.

I should point out I know there are better subs then the JL BUT if he has low end ones now the JL will be an upgrade even if there smaller in size,

Its all a matter of opinion, I like tight hard hitting bass tho not the long whatever you call it you get from larger subs. Its just a matter of prefference I guess.
